🔧For hardware stores
A WhatsApp order system for hardware stores
Contractors and walk-in customers WhatsApp you for cement, timber and fittings — often with long, detailed lists. GroupOrder Bot captures every materials order privately and keeps it organised, so nothing gets missed before the bakkie arrives.
The problem with materials orders over WhatsApp
Material lists are long and specific — quantities, sizes, brands. When they come as a wall of WhatsApp text mixed with other chats, items get missed and quotes get delayed. A wrong or incomplete order means a contractor's job stalls.
How GroupOrder Bot fixes it
Give regulars your bot number and share your price list. Contractors DM their order privately and it's captured in full against their name — every line item, ready to quote and pull from the shelf. End the round and export the CSV for the counter and your records.
- Long materials lists captured in full, line by line
- Private DM ordering keeps each contractor's order separate
- Bot confirms receipt so jobs don't stall on uncertainty
- Export orders to CSV for quoting and records
Example: a contractor's site order
A builder DMs the bot a list — 40 bags of cement, 200 bricks, 12 lengths of timber. It lands on the dashboard in full, against the builder's name. The counter confirms availability, the bot acknowledges the order, and the materials are pulled and ready for collection — nothing missed off the list.
Group or private ordering?
Private ordering suits hardware stores best — contractors send detailed lists one-on-one, kept confidential and complete. See how it works for the full setup.
Questions from hardware stores
- Can the bot handle long, detailed materials lists?
- Yes. Customers send their full list in one message and it's captured against their name, so every line item stays together and nothing is missed.
- Can contractors order privately rather than in a group?
- Yes. Private (DM) mode is ideal for hardware orders — each contractor messages your bot directly and their order stays confidential and complete.
